Проблема морбидного ожирения является актуальным вопросом современной системы здравоохранения. Морбидное ожирение оказывает негативное воздействие на репродуктивную функцию женщин. Одним из ярких примеров которого является инфертильность. Исследованиями было установлено, что бариатрическая хирургия оказывает позитивное влияние на репродуктивную функцию женщин, страдающих морбидным ожирением. Влияние различных хирургических методов на фертильность у пациентов, подвергшихся бариатрической хирургии, все еще остается спорным. Многоцентровое исследование показало, что нет никакой разницы между методами рестриктивной и мальабсорбционной бариатрической хирургии. Было показано, что ожирение имеет серьезные потенциальные последствия для женского фактора фертильности. При борьбе с ожирением следует регулировать пищевые привычки и увеличивать физическую активность. Бариатрическая хирургия должна применяться только в тех случаях, когда все другие комплексные меры не дали никаких результатов. Обзор посвящен научному анализу влияния морбидного ожирения и бариатрической хирургии на женскую фертильность.
