Baseball - American game in Russia and Karelia

This paper examines the history of baseball in America, its popularity, the beginning of the development of baseball and its achievements in the USSR, the first federation, the abrupt end of its development. The author describes the "second chance" for Russian baseball. Historical facts about the Russian baseball team and its ranking in the WBSC are given. The main stages of baseball development in Karelia and teams in the city of Petrozavodsk are presented. The author identified the main problems of its development in Russia.
