Beware of an abandoned car: how unused property becomes a threat to the safety of the urban environment

The article examines the threats associated with the presence of faulty or disassembled vehicles on the territory of municipalities. Legal problems arising during their disposal are analyzed. It is noted that the conflict of laws and the lack of uniform judicial practice on the issue of bringing the owners of such vehicles to justice, along with the blurring powers of local governments in the field of improvement, lead to the fact that municipalities have neither the incentive nor the resources to deal with «auto junk».
