The coast guard federal security service of Russia and protection of marine economic activities in the Arctic

The aims and purposes outlined in the Strategy and the state programme on the Arctic for provision of safety of marine activities and communications in the region have been considered. Based on historical analysis the security problems of marine activities occurring in the course of social and economic development of the Arctic zone, their solutions, the role and tasks of the Coast Guard Federal Security Service in this process have been described.
