Tradition of literary interpretation of Russian fairy tales in Tryapkin's lyric poetry is represented by various magic characters and images, and multiple examples of poems evidence it. One of the brightest examples of poetic myth images that had drawn attention of this study was Tzar Berendey. The poet found it important in his attempts to represent the «Berendey tzardom» to follow tradition of literary variation by A. N. Ostrovsky of the spring fairytale «The Snow Maiden».
