Immortality as a project: death and immortality of man in the context of humanistic and transhumanist types of worldview

The article presents a comparative analysis of the representations of death and immortality in the context of humanistic and transhumanist types of worldview. The particular interpretations of the idea of immortality in the philosophy of Russian cosmism and modern transhumanism («immortality» appears here as a project and the goal of human existence) are identified. The parallels between Christian and transhumanist interpretations of the idea of immortality are drown.
