The security of Euroarctic region in context of modern regional processes

The problem of space, according to Russian scientists, at the turn of the millennium is no less acute than a hundred or a thousand years ago. However, in modern conditions, the struggle is unfolding for spaces that have not yet been fully incorporated into the economic turnover of the modern production process1. Russia is largely a northern country and the Arctic is becoming an important geostrategic factor in its development. In modern conditions, attention to this region is increasing due to various circumstances. From the global periphery, the zone of the North turns into a zone of increased economic, political and geopolitical attention. So, objective processes of formation and collision of interests of various actors of international relations are strengthening.
