Unemployment in the Russian Federation in the conditions of economic sanctions

This article examines the state of the Russian labor market in the face of economic sanctions imposed by foreign governments against the Russian Federation. It is noted that the economic slowdown had a negative impact on employment in the country, led to the search for new directions of the state policy in the field of employment and labor relations. We consider the general features of Russian unemployment, manifested, in particular, its forms, and are also referred to its main social and economic consequences. We studied in detail the different categories of non-working population, as well as the process of Russia’s unemployment rate at the regional level. Analyzed the decline in employment in Russia and its socio-economic impact, generating severe problems for the economy and lead to a drop in living standards. On the basis of this information, are identified possible ways to address the problems of Russian unemployment.
