Unemployed young people on the modern Russian and world labor market

The paper examines the situation of youth on the modern Russian and world labor market. The research analyzes the statistics on the growth of youth unemployment in 2013-2017 and proves that professional competence of the youth is necessary for successful competition on the labor market. There is a negative employment situation for young people aged 15-24. This group is less attractive for employers because of their lack of experience and professional education. The author compares the unemployment rates in the above-mentioned group both in Russia and in the EU countries. The research reveals the high unemployment in developed and wealthy countries such as Belgium, France. The study identifies that the high unemployment leads to an increase in crime, which makes a point of solving the problem under review.
