Bi-systems: analysis of the concept and functionality

Currently, the development of digital tools is largely changing approaches to doing business and affecting the economy as a whole. Among such tools are business intelligence systems or BI, which are becoming available to a wide range of users, including SME CEOs, and are used as a measure of business competitiveness. By means of content analysis, the study identifies the content of the concept of business intelligence systems, which includes such basic generic features as synergistic set of automated tools, decision support, means for rapid multidimensional analysis of business intelligence, data mining tools for visualization, and elements of expert systems. The functional advantages of business intelligence systems have been revealed: the ability to operate with quality data, which allows businesses to quickly change their marketing policy, taking into account current data obtained from internal information systems and external sources; flexibility which can be used for a varied approach to solving tasks; the use of integration as a channel of communication with information resources.
