Biblical expression "bear one's cross": the specifics of comprehension in the German and Russian culture

The paper is devoted to the specifics of the comprehension of one of the most common biblical precedent expressions - BEAR ONE’S CROSS - by the members of the German and Russian linguocultural community. Conclusions about common features and differences in the comprehension of this expression are made, conditional on the specifics of the historical and cultural development of Russia and Germany.
