The article appeals to the plot architectonics of A. S. Pushkin’s “The Blizzard” story and explores its biblical context. The biblical plot archetype is structured into three parts: creation - fall into sin (or transgression) - rising (or resurrection), appeared in separate storylines, and it simultaneously represents “macrostructure of the Bible itself” (S. Yung). Affected as an example by “The Blizzard” story by Pushkin and biblical Book of Ruth, not to be listed in direct references to the Bible by Pushkin respectively, there is a link between Pushkin’s and biblical scripts that is disclosed. In the undertaken analysis the typological similarity is highlighted between the main character from “The Blizzard” story and Ruth, coinciding with axiology and behavior pattern, and implemented in the story subject. The macrostructure of “The Blizzard” story and the macrostructure of Book of Ruth are identical and it implies a unified subject of the introduced texts readdressing and relating to those of three: “creation - transgression - resurrection” in the scene type.
