This article explores the development of bibliographic activity in Uzbekistan during the years of the Great Patriotic War. It highlights the evacuation of industrial enterprises, research institutions, educational establishments, and cultural organizations to the republic, as well as the contribution of library workers in meeting the informational needs of both the front and the rear. Particular focus is given to the work of the Alisher Navoi Republican Library, the creation of bibliographic indexes, catalogs, and reference materials, and the involvement of prominent Soviet bibliographers in shaping bibliographic practices in Uzbekistan. The article emphasizes the role of bibliography as a tool for patriotic education and the preservation of historical memory.
