Binary oppositions and archetypes as a mechanism of structural organization of an opera plan

The mechanisms of sense-making and development of structural plan while premeditating a concept of a future opera by a composer are discussed in the article. Since the opera is a new work in comparison with the primary source, the meanings are formed by appealing to such universal constants, as binary oppositions and archetypes (basic archetypes by С. Jung are considered).
