Biographical factor as a way of creating a cultural identity (case study of Sergei Dovlatov's literary work “Ours”)

The article studies the influence of the biographical factor on the development of cultural identity by case study of Sergei Dovlatov’s literary work “Ours". It is emphasized that the biography of particular characters is reflected in the culture of the whole country. The biographical method not only plays an important role in the analysis of the literary work, but also is an important means to show a national identity. The author concludes that there is a link between a person and a national culture.
