Бесплатный доступ

In this publication the vocative extended by the attributive group is analyzed. The first part of the article systemizes the attempts of Germanists to justify the use of strong and weak adjective forms in vocative. The following section discusses the evolution of these forms from Old High German to modern German. In this process a variation in structuring of extended vocative in plural is revealed. All statements are supported by examples from the works of German-speaking authors of the considered periods.

Extended vocative, flexion of attributive adjective, variation of german, monoflexion, conditioning of german adjective declension, theory of syntactic markedness
