Biochemical and imaging characterization of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with active-stage of Charcot's foot

Relevance. It is known that type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM2) is one of the pressing problems in endocrinology. Among the complications of diabetes mellitus 2, Charcot’s foot occupies a special place, since both the issues of pathogenesis and early diagnosis, as well as the prevention and treatment of this complication still remain relevant. Methodology for revealing the research problem. Of the 35 patients, there were 28 men and 7 women. Research methods included: biochemical, hormonal and instrumental studies, etc. Research results. Patients had secondary hyperparathyroidism with normocalcemia and increased silk phosphatase. An early symptom on MRI was the presence of concavity of the articular surface of the talus against the background of sclerosis in the talonavicular joint.
