A randomized study of 40 patients with coronary heart disease, coronary artery bypass grafting under cardiopulmonary bypass was conducted. The choices of anesthetics (sevoflurane vs propofol) were compared on the central hemodynamics, coronary perfusion gradients, biochemical markers (lactate, CPK-MB, heart-fatty acids binding protein). Using sevoflurane associated with decreased concentrations of biochemical markers in the blood of the coronary sinus, the best indicators of coronary oxygen balance.
