The purpose of the work was to study the biochemical characteristics of saliva and blood in patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease. 40 patients were examined in the department of internal medicine, rheumatology and the emergency department of the Hospital with the Scientific and Clinical Center of Cardiology. Mean age 48.2 ± 9.6 years. The control group consisted of 30 healthy people. As a result of the study, a strong correlation was established between the biochemical parameters of saliva and blood serum in patients. In the studied patients, with an increase in salivary pH, high levels of transaminases and glucose are expected. Determination of biochemical parameters as a monitoring study of the population will help in identifying groups at risk of the disease. The study of pH, protein and glucose in the saliva of these patients can used in screening to identify risk factors for the disease.
