Biological estimation of the influence of recombinant lactobacillus strains with growth hormone- releasing factor gene on the rabbit organism

The study of the influence of recombinant strains of Lactobacillus acidophilus КЗ (pLF-SL2) and Lactobacillus sp. 8 PA3(pLF-SL2) expressing eukaryotic somatoliberin gene on organism of growing rabbits has demonstrated that peroral application of them provided animal response reaction which was identical to that one excited by exogenous somatotropin application. On the basis of the data obtained, it is believed that the recombinant strains expressed somatoliberin in the digestive tract in rabbits and its absorption in blood led to stimulation of synthesis and secretion of hypothalamic Nona peptides, to intensification of somatotropin production by adenohypophysis, to increase in animal performance and muscle tissue percent in meat and to fat content decrease. It was shown that feeding of the strain Lactobacillus sp. 8 РАЗ (pLF-SL2) to the rabbit females during gestation led to considerable gain in the live weight of newborn young and to development of somatoliberin tolerance in this young.
