Biological peculiarities of the click beetles larvae development and search environmentally-friendly means of their control on sunflower

In recent years phytosanitary agrocenosis situation in the Krasnodar region has worsened. Biological pecu-liarities, harmfulness and spread of wireworm as major pest of sunflower are described. Description of all existing ways of control of this pest is given. The results of tests of plant extracts of poisonous and medicinal plants by the protection of sunflower seedlings from wireworm as environmentally-friendly means of pest control are presented.
