Biomechanics of movement in the phases of discus throwing from the turn

When studying the course «Biomechanics of motor activity» at a laboratory workshop, a student of the faculty of Sports of the Kuban state University, physical culture, sports and tourism Natalia Karabintseva (selected sport «discus Throwing») conducted applied research on the biomechanics of movements in the phases of discus throwing with a turn. To conduct the experiment, the main biomechanical phases of movement were analyzed and identified. All phases of the discus throw from the turn (swing, entering the turn, turn and final effort) consistently create the maximum amplitude for the acceleration of the projectile and should maximize the activation of muscle groups and the performance of a quick, sharp throw and final effort.
