In order to increase the biologization of agriculture and minimize the negative impact of synthetic fertilizers on the environment, a new biofertilizer. It is obtained by mixing the extract of sapropel, the extract of bird droppings, the mineral component, the culture of bacteria Azotobacter chroococcum and the micromycete Trichoderma viride, followed by fermentation of the mixture in an aerobic manner with periodic mixing of the mass with an interval of one hour for 15 minutes and bubbling to provide a volume of clean air from 120.0 up to 280.0 cubic meters per cubic meter of culture liquid. Research carried out on seeds of a common fodder crop - winter vetch shaggy varieties Glinkovskaya and Lugovskaya 2 (Vicia vilossa or Roth). The article analyzes laboratory studies to determine the germination energy of seeds and the following results were obtained: in relation to the control variant, the germination energy of vika Lugovskaya 2 was 27.3 % higher, germination in relation to the control in this variety increased by 11.6 % (reliability P<0.001). In vetch seeds, Glinkovskaya germination energy was 28.0% higher in the experiment compared to the control, and germination was 9.9 % higher with significance (P<0.01). The solution of the new biofertilizer had a positive effect on both varieties of winter vetch; a dynamic increase in the number of viable seeds was noted. The new complex biofertilizer makes it possible to improve seed germination, and, therefore, is able to provide cultivated plants with the entire complex of minerals, allow the accumulation of humus in the soil and improve its structure.
