The article analyzes the existing business models of oil and gas engineering organizations based on the presence of control on the part of a vertically integrated company: independent and affiliated, and their advantages and disadvantages are given. An assessment of the effectiveness of the activities of key players in the oil and gas engineering market in Russia is given, and their production capabilities are considered. In creating an effective business model, oil and gas engineering organizations need to take into account the state of the market, the competitive environment, the presence of technological innovations, government support and adapt to the challenges of the external environment. Based on the study, conclusions were drawn about the need for government participation in the implementation of joint investment projects between manufacturers and customers of oil and gas equipment. Analysis of business models for the development of oil and gas engineering organizations can be used to develop a strategy for sustainable development and reengineering of business processes, create a favorable investment climate for independent organizations and increase their competitiveness.
