The relevance of the study is determined by the great importance of small business in improving the economy of any country. However, in Russia, this sector is underdeveloped, and the contribution of small businesses is lower than in other countries. This is due in part to the fact that the conditions of economic activity are not always favorable; the situation is complicated by increased risks, limited financial resources and other problems. This underlines the need to find new opportunities to increase efficiency, in particular in the printing sector, and business process management is of special significance in this regard. The role of business process management in the printing industry is to improve customer service, enhance the understanding of relevant activities, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency, productivity, and profitability. The purpose of the study is to identify the difficulties faced by small printing businesses when introducing business process management. The methodological basis includes general scientific methods of classification and systematization of information, logical data processing, a systematic approach, and compilation of information. The author makes a list of constraints on business process management in small printing companies. The research substantiates that this approach is designed for specific situations characterized by the fact that traditional models with rigid structures can lead to limited business flexibility. The research findings will be useful for the small printing business sector where business flexibility is a key competitive advantage.
