The article contains the analysis of the main themes of the theology of history by St. Justin Popovich, an outstanding 20th century Serbian theologian, representative of the “neopatristic synthesis”. It is shown that in his understanding all the problems of man, society and mankind can be correctly comprehended and resolved only in the context of the God-Man Christ. It is noted that St. Justin paid great attention to the exposure of humanism, which he understood not only as an ideological basis of European civilization, but more broadly - as a meaning, direction and method of human existence as a whole. In connection with the problem of humanism, the topics of progress, evolution and mankind's final fate in St. Justin's theology are considered. Special attention is paid to his teaching about culture and education. St. Justin's ecclesiological concept of the Church as a place of connection between time and eternity, and also as a perfect society, which is the antithesis of the unification of mankind within the framework of secular globalization, is analyzed.
