Fights on the Ivanovsky patch: a historiographical review

Бесплатный доступ

The Sinyavinsky offensive operation 1942 was one of the attempts to break the blockade of Leningrad in the area of the Shlisselburg-Sinyavinsky salient. One of its main results was the formation of the Ivanovsky patch, and later - the revival of the Nevsky patch. If a lot of literature has been written about the Nevsky patch and the fights on it have been thoroughly studied, then the fights on the Ivanovsky patch have been studied a little. The authors of the article analyzed in detail the Russian and foreign literature on the subject and identified the main problems that need to be studied. Based on a detailed analysis, it was concluded that researchers over the past years have ambiguously assessed the results of the battles on the Ivanovsky patch. They also did not touch on certain time intervals in their research, when there was still a bridgehead and battles were fought on it.
