In this article we undertake a study of the Bolshevik publications of the Voronezh province5 in terms of their consecration of events related to the Russian Orthodox Church. The relevance of the topic is explained by the fact that in the conditions of military operations, the usual system of informing the population and the interaction of authorities and citizens cease to exist and there is a transition to unreliable sources of information. Under these conditions, it becomes particularly important to use the press to broadcast the official state position. In October 1917, as it is known, the position of the Bolsheviks, who seized power, became such a dominant position. It is obvious that orders issued from Moscow and Petrograd in the regions met with a different attitude even within the party apparatus itself, which was in the state of formation since the end of October 1917 and throughout 1918. In addition, the speed and methods of implementing decrees and other decrees of the authorities faced, in local conditions, with various difficulties of their implementation...
