“Idle talk” as the specific feature of free narration in the fragments of Pushkin’s prose

This article affirms the idea that purposeful orientation toward the narration imitating free telling can be observed in Pushkin’s incomplete writings. The purpose of this article is to examine the prose fragments from the perspective of stylistic features of the “idle talk” organization. Сomparative and structural-descriptive research methods contribute to achievement of the purpose. The conclusion that Pushkin implements the effect of free “talking” through the use of rhetorical techniques and means of expression characteristic of a lively conversational speech is drawn.
