The paper considers the system of «great elements» in the Buddhist culture as the structural basis of the Buddhist world model. The system of «great elements» is the code language of the Buddhist culture and the methodological principle of presenting knowledge. The paper gives a comparison of two types of world models characteristic of different cultures. The difference between these two world models lies in the sphere of subject-object relations.
