Booktrailers in the practice of career guidance work of libraries

The article points out the gap between the traditional methods of career guidance in Russian libraries, based on the premise that schoolchildren are ready to read traditional lists, booklets and texts in general, and insensitivity to these methods on the part of modern teenagers and high school students, since reading for them is not currently a priority activity. At the same time, fiction provides an opportunity to get acquainted with the profession and professional formation of a character, to comprehend his path and measure himself through identification with him. It is necessary to find ways to attract teenagers and high school students to reading relevant literature, based on their needs and peculiarities of thinking. One of these methods may be the creation of booktrailers of a career orientation. The article describes the experience of the contest, which allows to collect a bank of booktrailers and make them available to both professionals and teenagers themselves.
