The paper explores one of the finds in the 'Office of archbishop representatives' of the 14th century discovered in the Upper Hillfort of Torzhok in the Tver Region in 2005. The mace-head (pernach) is a rare type of weapon made of iron inlaid with floral motif and letters of the Mongolian square script. This kind of find in the representative office of the Novgorod archdiocese in Torzhok suggests a high status of this type of weapon.
