The paper examines morphology and composition of knives and sheath found in the burials dating from the second half of the 13th-16th centuries discovered in the necropolis of Alt-Wehlau. The typological and comparative-historical methods used to study them allowed come to the following conclusions. In burials prevailed knives with one-piece handles (66 % of the total number) (Fig. 3: 1-8), while knives with plate handles accounted for a smaller portion (28 % of the total) (Fig. 3: 11, 14, 15). In turn, sheath consists of 3 types among which prevail those with bronze details (Fig. 3: 15-18). Regarding their morphology, composition and chronological distribution, the studied items, on the one hand, are similar to the finds from settlements and necropoleis in the State of the Teutonian Order as well as in neighboring Scandinavia, Pomerania and Samogitia; on the other hand, these items have regional specifics.
