The integrity of text regarded by Leonid Murzin and problems of scientific translation

The article, aimed at the question of the integrity of text, deals with its role in the process of translation of scientific texts. It shows a fruitful succession of Leonid N. Murzin's ideas concerning this text quality developed in modern translation studies. According to Leonid N. Murzin, the founder of Perm scientific school of language dynamics, text integrity is always associated with the situation described in the text. Following this statement we regard the process of translation as a reconstruction of this text quality by the translator, since integrity which represents the main sense of the scientific text turns it into the integral whole and provides its comprehension.
