The cost of crimes provided for by articles 264 and 326 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation

The cost of crime seems to be a complex criminological category, the study of which makes it possible to measure the damage caused by criminal activity, to form a competent criminological and criminal policy to combat crime. The author’s approach to estimating the costs of crimes under Articles 264 and 326 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation is considered in the article. An attempt is made to establish the cost range of crimes under consideration from the perspective of the components of the cost of crime. The author comes to the conclusion that the cost will always be volatile, depending on the place and the time of the crime commission and the consequences such as death of people or the vehicle cost.
