Value of information

In modern conditions of world social and economic development, information management of the management process is a particularly important area, which consists in gathering and processing the information necessary for making sound managerial decisions. Information is necessary for the rational solution of problems. Sometimes, however, the information necessary for making a good decision is unavailable or too expensive. The cost of information should include the time of managers and subordinates spent on its collection, as well as actual costs, for example, related to the analysis of the market, the payment of computer time, the use of external consultants.
