Missionary values and attempts of legislation regulation of missionary activities

Missionary work is an integral part of any religious cult, and the work of missionary activity is one of the core values of a religious organization. Preparation for missionary work and missionary work itself is important as a stage of religious socialization or churching. Christian denominations or cults believe missionary work is important and is a value of intrinsically priority. Missionary activities occasionally attract attention of various state government agencies and bodies, resulting in bills aimed to order and bureaucratize the missionary activities of different religions, denominations and cults. In Russia, the regulation occurs at the level of regional legislation and serves as a point of contention between state authorities and religious organizations that consider missionary work an important aspect of their religious life. The analysis shows that attempts to limit one or another sphere of activity of certain social groups continue, but if this limited area of activity is valuable for certain social groups, the effectiveness of the legislation will be quite low.
