Values on the Canvas of the Future: The Role of Culture and Art

The article explores the phenomenon of value as an independent and creative force. Based on an analysis of the works of Russian researchers who have studied the ontology and modes of existence of values, the thesis of their independence is substantiated. The exceptional role of independent values in the processes of social transformation and the formation of the worldview of future generations is emphasized. In this context, regardless of the time of creation of a work of art or the motives of its author, the formative goal achieved by the artist and perceived by the researcher is crucial. Art, overcoming sensory visibility and chance, strives for the manifestation of the stable and universally valuable, transforming reality and reorganizing space. Works of art form an artistic field, a collection of values, meanings, and traditions that evolve under the influence of various actors and reflect changes in society and culture. Art, by transforming reality, offers new ways of seeing the world, reinterprets values, broadens the boundaries of consciousness, and allows us to transcend everyday life. The article attempts to understand the mode of existence of value, which necessitates a historical retrospective.
