In the 15 chapters of the monograph pedagogical conceptions, views and activity of the Russian thinkers and education figures, educational processes of Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum (Pushkin graduation) and theological seminaries are examined, the formation of social period of the Russian Pedagogical self-consciousness and the history of the women education are analyzed. In the Supplement the reforms of K.D. Ushinskij in Smolnyj Institute in the form of dramatic scenes, composed by the author, are represented.
