Value characteristics of linguocultural prototype sportsman

The questions of description of the research area organisation of the revealed value characteristics of professionally significant prototype sportsman are considered in the article. Conceptual characteristics of the prototype and hyponyms of the lexeme sportsmen are established. The set of value characteristics is marked out on the basis of data of sport discourse, their quantitative indices are defined, which caused the division of dominants in three different spheres of linguocultural area: nuclear, medial and marginal. Cognitive differential and classifying signs of linguocultural prototype sportsman are presented, which are forming the research concept as the mental unit.
