Value orientations of a person as a problem of the modern society

We are used to think that the political world has some dimensions: socioeconomic, functional, socio-cultural, confessional, historical and so on. There is also another important dimension. It is a personal one. Without a person, it is impossible to understand political phenomena and their functioning. In this connection, it is very important to clear up a question what the modern individual looks like. It is not all the same to the state what values its citizens follow in their everyday life. We are used to talk about quality of goods and services, but we don't think of quality of a person. It is important to make an individual realize that the world on television differs from the real one. In this connection, the role of the family increases as never before. It would be emphasized that it is the family that must teach a child to apprehend the environment sufficiently. We should rely neither on school nor on cultural, public-service or state institutions in settling this problem. We should popularize the value of wedlock, family and children to raise the family's authority. In our opinion, it is in this way that one of the most priority orientations of the state policy must develop.
