This article opens the section “Scientific Schools of the Urals” and determines the role and significance of A.V. Kiryakova, the formation of her Orenburg scientific school “Axiology of education theory”. The realities of the axiology of education are determined, the course of development of the axiological potential of students and teachers, the relationship between axiology and innovation in educational systems is shown. The scientific biography of A.V. Kiryakova shows her and her students reasearch in the context of the problem of the formation of personality in the axiosphere of cultures. The characteristic of research methodology on value orientations and value self-determination, modern value-oriented technologies is given. Applied provisions of the axiological approach are formulated. The role of A.V. Kiryakova in the post-non-classical paradigm of science through the definition of axiological guidelines via the prism of the universe of ideas and values that make up the inner world of a person is shown. The public spiritual culture and the spiritual individual world of the individual are considered by the author as an original hierarchy of personal values defined by A.V. Kiryakova. The basic academic values, the values of personal growth, civil society, and organizational values as structural components of the theory under study are clarified. The main scientific projects of the school and the main works of A.V. Kiryakova and her students are named.
