Value imperative of civil activism (to the problem of axiological determination of patriotic education)

In the article, the author examines the question of the relationship between modern civic activism and its axiological determination, including through the system of patriotic education. The author shows the duality of the concept of civil activism, which can be used to justify both the priority role of human individuality and the communitarian model of social interaction as opposed to the regulatory influence of the state, and the need for a close relationship between state power and civil institutions, the development of civil initiatives in line with political loyalty. Using the example of problems of patriotic education and the policy of historical memory, the author proves the importance of the informal institutionalization of civil activism with the promotion of the value imperative of human rights and freedoms as a responsible subject of the historical development of one’s people.
