The article analyzes oil prices, their dynamics for 2011-2016, the structure, principles and mechanisms of pricing in the modern oil market. The structure of oil production by the countries of the world is determined, the oil supply ratios for 2011-2016 are calculated and analyzed. in the context of the main production regions, the relationship between oil prices and the development of the world economy and politics is being explored.
