Zeolite-containing rocks of Eastern Transbaikalia: new technologies of processing

Recycling of Eastern Transbaikalia natural zeolites, used as sorbents, an important task. One of the most effective methods of their deep processing is acid decomposition for production of commodity aluminum-containing products. In this article we studied the effectiveness of acid treatment of zeolite rocks from Badinskoe, Kholinskoe and Shivyrtuyskoe deposits, which were not subject to recovery after their use as filters to capture sulfur dioxide. The technological parameters of the acid treatment process were studied. The technological scheme for processing was developed. The dependences of efficiency of extraction of alumina from the zeolite rocks on temperature, acid concentration and duration of the acid processing were obtained.
