Individuals as subjects of international customs law

This article examines the role of private (natural) persons in the framework of international customs law, designed to regulate cross-border relations. As well as the impact of globalization and cross-border trade on the role of an individual in international customs operations. The current state of the economy is blurring borders, which allows citizens and companies to actively participate in export-import operations. Individuals become full-fledged entities with certain rights and obligations in the field of customs regulation, including international purchase and sale and responsibility for the payment of customs duties. The legal status of individuals is determined by the norms of customs legislation and depends on various factors such as citizenship and place of residence. The article identifies various categories of individuals, including tourists, residents and non-residents, and discusses special benefits for refugees and internally displaced persons. In conclusion, the scientific study concludes that the participation of individuals in customs operations reflects the growing trend towards transparency and simplification of international trade processes.
