The article examines the procedural status of a private Prosecutor as a participant in criminal proceedings, its features, as well as differences from other statuses, emphasizing its key role in the category of private prosecution cases. The assessment of the effectiveness of maintaining the prosecution by a private Prosecutor from the point of view of established practice is given.
