The frequency of occurrence and types of complications of radical treatment of breast cancer, for which patients need outpatient medical rehabilitation

To identify the frequency of occurrence and types of major complications of radical treatment of breast cancer (BC), for which patients apply for outpatient medical rehabilitation, an analysis of the medical records of 1,938 patients (average age - 50.82 years) was conducted. Lymphedema was in 85 % of patients, of which I degree - in 29,5 %, II dr. - in 27,2 %, III dr. - in 17,7 % and IV dr. - in 10,6 % of patients. Limited mobility in the shoulder joint on the side of the operation was in 52,5 % of patients, of which impaired joint mobility of the I dr. - in 39,9 %, II dr. - in 43,7 %, III dr. - in 15,3 % and IV dr. -in 0,7 % of patients. Clinically expressed plexopathy with damage to the upper and/or lower bundles of the brachial plexus was in 27,7 %. Late radiation induced lung injury (radiation pneumofibrosis) I and II dr. were in 6,2 % of patients. When organizing the rehabilitation process in outpatient settings, a multidisciplinary team and the entire range of physical factors, used according to the developed technologies for the rehabilitation of patients with breast cancer, are necessary.
