Before starting the discussion of the category of «human capital», you need to clarify and define the essence of the category «capital» on the whole. Polysemy of the notion «capital» should be noted. Different economic schools interpret the term in different ways.In the early classical tradition the concept of capital covers and combines two different aspects: ownership - control over the means of production and claim to future earnings. Neoclassic theory connects the capital with the second term on these points, implying any capital expenditures, which entail the rejection of the current consumption and providing some income in the future. In marxist theory, by contrast, first put forward the consideration of capital as a public relations with social-class positions, the issue of ownership and control over the means of production.
