The article traces transformations of economic man. The authors have shown how homo economicus modifies into market-oriented man, and then gaining features of homme médiocre. The practice of modern social communications demonstrates that the century of mediocrities also comes to the end. The modern market man is transforming into a reference perfectionist. The specified modifications were only parts in infinite series of valuable metamorphosis of human spirit. Most likely, present generations will become witnesses of further transformations of the market man.
